Located in Nagoya City (Nakagawa district), Arakogawa Park is without a doubt one of the most beautiful parks to visit during the cherry blossom season.

 Arakogawa Park

The cherry blossom season ended just a few weeks ago, and compared with other years, this year felt very short. A few weeks ago temperatures began to rise, which made the cherry trees bloom early in the season and last just under 2 weeks. In a flash they went from sakura to green leaves.

In the park, around 1,000 cherry trees stand on both sides of the Arako River. You can go for a walk in the morning along the park (there is about 2 km of park) or visit it at night. During the cherry blossom season, every night from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm they light up the surroundings of the park, thus giving a night view of the trees. During this time there are also concerts, craft workshops and other attractions.
